As the days grow shorter, we enjoy creating rejuvenating spaces indoors where we spend time doing slower activities like journaling and catching up on issues of our favorite magazines. Enthusiastic patterns are inspiring, so this month we got my eye on the bold, organic shapes on the Area Home Nature coverlet + pillow and how they’re mimicked in this brass tabletop sculpture.
Also obsessed with the ritual of Hibi incense matches - we light one as we settle in, and now associate the uplifting smell of Japanese Cypress with relaxation and quiet time.
What’s on my side table? A stack of the award-winning California Sunday Magazine. Described as “California’s answer to The New Yorker,” We love it for in-depth, well-researched reporting about issues and histories of my home state, with a focus on visual storytelling.
